Let us break down the services that we provide here at Seasonal Vision:
The growing season occurs from early April through late November. Your average lawn will be cut an average of 22-26 times in a growing season. During our visits we mow the lawn, string edge the sidewalks and the driveway (power edging can be included), trim around the house, trees, along mulch beds, fencelines, etc. and then blow all grass clippings/debris free from all hard surfaces. We also look for weeds and will pull (and spray) them as needed.
Lawn Care/Mowing:
The price of your lawn is mostly contingent on the efficiency & effectiveness of the equipment. We use top of the line commercial grade equipment, which results in the professional look people want when their lawn is cut professionally. Proper trimming technique adds to the sharpness of the property and makes the job look complete. You can come home and be proud of how your lawn looks.
Weed Control:
The control of weeds is a never ending battle. No property is immune to weeds and despite deterrents such as weed fabric & mulch weeds will inevitably prey on your property. Consistent & frequent attention to controlling weeds is the best deterrent. Our mowing service package includes maintaining the mulch beds and planted areas. In addition, weeds growing in sidewalk cracks, along curblines, and drives shall be removed or killed as the weeds emerge. Weeds shall be controlled both chemically and physically. Pre and post-emergent herbicides may be used. This service will occur per maintenance visit (sometimes weeds are very heavy and extra attention may be needed).
Spring Clean Up:
In order to ready your planting beds for the warm weather we recommend that your lawn and mulch beds be cleaned of all over wintered debris, trash, and weeds. Ornamental grasses that have been left tall should be cut to the ground. The removal of the above mentioned waste ensures that grass, perennials, and other plants can grow free of obstructions. Mulch can be spread in a much crisper and smooth fashion when all debris has been removed from the affected areas. We recommend starting a compost pile (ask about this and we can provide help and suggestions)!
Mulch/Bed Edging:
Ever wonder why your mulch beds seem to need mulch every year? It is mostly because mulch breaks down and turns to soil/dirt. Some if it also just blows away. Our mulch service includes mulching of all tree rings, planting beds, and entryways. We only use triple shredded premium mulch. A professional edge is cut along the mulch beds and tree rings, as needed. It should be noted that edging of trees occasionally can cause root damage, we will use honest discretion on tree rings. Most bed edges will be cut approximately 2-3” deep and will cut either mechanically or manually. Please notify us of any irrigation lines.
Shrub/Bush Pruning:
The saying goes “prune in June!!” Upon customer request we will trim all shrubs according to their individual specifications. You can expect that all clippings will be cleaned from the bed areas and disposed of. You can expect pruning to remove the current year’s growth and is designed to maintain the shrub in its current condition. If restorative pruning is desired, it can be done upon request. This service typically occurs twice annually; once in June and again in September.
Fertilization:
Our lawns take a lot of abuse from the sun, our pets, kids, and the occasional get together. In order to maximize the benefit of using a professional lawn care company we recommend regular fertilization. Fertilizer itself is actually a naturally occurring element that does not damage the environment. It is the use of liquid herbicide that is the unnatural product we are most mindful of. We spread fertilizer throughout the lawn and spot spray the liquid herbicide upon the affected areas. Spot spraying reduces misting and drift. Fertilizer feeds your lawn when it is depleted and helps it stay looking good all year (along with regular watering!) Our fertilizer program is a Four Step Application Process.
